TRULY ONE OF A KIND!
Up for sale is our super sweet 1976- 31 foot Sovereign Airstream. This is the model with the bedroom in the back! It came to us in its original condition which we felt was outdated so it soon became a summer project as we completely gutted and renovated the interior as well as did some minor cosmetic upgrades to the exterior. It was hoped that this airstream would be our little traveling home-away-from-home for many years to come but you never know what the future will bring and now we are moving overseas. So she can be yours if it's the right fit.
She's got newer axils, tires, shocks and breaks which have all been used for one season. New propane tanks and two new deep cycle batteries. We also put a custom 6-inch lift kit on her. The awning is newer and is the original Zip Dee and works great.
Just about everything on the inside is custom and new. You will see the use of driftwood, cedar, bamboo, corrugated tin and stainless steel- all handcrafted and customized pieces. The fridge is quite large and works great. The bedroom in the back has a thick and high quality double futon which folds into a couch. There is also a single foam bed across from the bathroom. The dining area cushions can be arranged so that it could sleep two adults. So it could sleep 5 comfortably. There is plenty of storage space and lots of functionality built into the renovation. There is also a brand new water heater with new plumbing. **Please note that in some of the pictures the light covers are missing and that is because we were waiting for them to be shipped to us from the Airstream distributor. We have installed them now and they are the original airstream light covers.**
Projects that we never completed were taking out all windows and replacing old tint with new darker tint. Polishing exterior shell.
Imperfections it has: minor exterior body damage to the right of the entrance as shown in picture above. Door latch is partially broken but still allows you to open and close the door. Air-conditioning unit doesn't seem to work and currently we have plans to remove the unit and replace it with a skylight.
