I am an 18 y/o female, and have only been sexually active with one partner who was a virgin beforehand.
The last couple of months, I have been suffering what I find to be an unusual vaginal odor. It is not "fishy" or "bleachy" but rather smells... metallic/coppery? Could also be described as a slightly "sour" smell?
Similar to the smell of menstruation-- yet occurs even when I'm not on my period. My discharge doesn't have this odor at all, and doesn't seem to be out of the norm. I can only smell it on my partner after we've had intercourse, etc
This is quite embarrassing, and is putting a damper on my sex life which in turn is straining my relationship. I have been prescribed medication for yeast infections, UTI's and bacterial vaginosis all to no avail.
Has anyone had a similar experience? If so, what helped/caused the problem?
