Have one script perform queue of actions over a song?

I have want to script a queue of action that can be performed over a set song with a design structure.

For example I Record:

Record Guitar Chords Progression
Then Immediately multiply this loop and record track 2
After one loop has been recorded, overdub for a few seconds, then mute this track
After another loop cycle, play both track 1 and 2 for another loop cycle
Then end

I want to put all this into one script that is activated the moment I finish recording the initial chord progression loop. So I can focus on performing and forgetting about pressing all those crazy combinations of pedals.

That or I get each of these actions into foot switch presses, but again, can that be done in one script on one button? (on tap 1, on tap 2...over the length of a 4 minutes song)

Or are scripts designed to be one and done things that are active for a few second and no more? (in that case will I need to create seperate scripts and map to seperate footswitches?

Would love your feedback on this.

Hi everybody.Just tell you all that i have been looping since the age of four and have tried all the hardware and software that felt in my reach.My software loopers where Sooperlooper,a good emulation of the EDP with some limitations and some advanges compared to Mobius,and lately Ableton Live into Mainstage,because although it was simpler and less powerful,programming it was a breeze.
Since i have fallen in love with Mobius,I think its easy to program,and you can do everything and more with it.Its way to work within Logic or Mainstage is by far the best Ive seen,and thanks for the help in this forum when I got a little lost on how to work with Midi Commands there,as Mainstage is horrible handling Midi Software thats not its own.

Im trying to get Mobius as a plugin on Ableton Live 9 Lite but its not showing up under the VST Plugins section on Ableton for some odd reason. Anyone able to give me a step by step on how to do this?

So Im wondering what people would suggest as a decent Netbook laptop to use Mobius on as a plugin on Ableton? Don't want to carry a heavy laptop around with my guitars & equipment etc to gigs. Any recommendations? Ideally something thats 32 bit with a decent amount of RAM size.

Scripts folder in Mac

Hi,
I'm setting up my first Mac and moving my Mobius settings from my pc.
I've traced Mobius installation folder where I can copy my ui.xml and mobius.xml.
That folder ( found in application support) has just 4 files and no trace of the scripts folder.
Where can I find it ?

G'day all, I'm making this the 1st of some Stickys I plan to make.

"FOR" needs a matching "NEXT"

Whenever you have a "for" you need to have a matching "next".
The for/next pair set the track scope for the statements in between. So either:

  set quantize cycle

for 1

  TrimEnd

next

for 1

  set quantize loop

next

Or more simply:

    set quantize cycle

    TrimEnd

    set quantize loop

next

Alternative below but it's simpler just to do everything inside one for/next.

Simple script timed by current loop length doesn't work

I'm trying to write what should be a very simple script..

Every time Track1 cycles through its loop, I want to set the output for various tracks...

Here's a simplified version of what I'm trying to do...

However, no matter how I set the quantize settings, the output commands are implemented at some interval other than the timing of track1's loop...I wrote a much longer script set similar to this and as the script progressed the timing of the output commands became longer and longer apart... for example I was setting the commands to happen every 4 iterations of a 2-bar loop (viz every 8 bars)... the first set of "wait loops" it worked fine, but the next set with the same number of "wait loops" instead of it being 8 bars, it took much longer and the third set took even longer (up to 26 bars!?)...

What is it that I don't understand about using "wait loop" as a timing mechanism for other commands?

I thought I open up another thread and make my question a bit more clear.

I have a launchpad and I want it to light up according to my wishes. Now my script only let the lights show up for one cycle in play mode, but I want it to repeat itself. But i cant figure it out. I would like to have midi notes in some sort of for next loop or something, that it keeps on repeating. Does anyone know how i might do this, what statements do i need?

Midi script

Hello Everyone,
I was wondering if it is possible to make some sort of script that sends a specific midi signal (like a note on a channel) when one track is recording, overdubbing or playing.

I thought when I have an arduino board on the midi out. I could make a led light up (red for rec, amber for overdub and green for playing). And maybe even have like 8 leds in a circle that visualizes the circles from the monitor screen.

I would like to get rid of the monitor in that way....

Any thoughts???

Trying to follow a master track (MasterNextLoop)

Hi folks

I'm trying to achieve this:
Whenever I switch a loop on the Master Track (Track1) it should do the following
- On Track 2, the current loop is copied to the matching loop number on track 2 (same loop number as current master track)
- Track 2 plays the NextLoop
- Track 1 performs a NextLoop

It "almost" works, but I cannot to get it to perform all steps in time. and end up with both tracks out of sync.
See my script below.

Any suggestions would be VERY appreciated!

How to use LoopCopy function in scripts?

In the documentation LoopCopy is described as Loop Copy will copy the contents of the previously active loop into the currently active loop.

Yet, when I put it in a script, it doesn't seem to do anything at all. (in fact, I cannot find it in the list of functions either)

Does it work somehow? Can you use it with any options?

Would really like to use it.

Mobius Scaling on High DPI Displays?

Hi Folks! Long time Mobius user here, though first time poster. I recently got a new computer, one with a high DPI (i.e. lots of pixels per unit area). Mobius doesn't seem to like this much. Here's what it looks like by default:

And even after scaling the fonts in the ui.xml file, I still wind up with this:

(sorry for the blurriness, Imgur's downscaling tool is apparently not so hot)

There are a few undesirable things here, but most notably no matter what I do in the ui.xml file I can't seem to get the 8 tracks at the bottom to format correctly at all. Their x, y, width & height parameters appear to be set outside of the ui.xml file, and they become quite hard to use under the circumstances. Is there anything I can do to fix the UI? Thanks in advance for your help!

Defining loop lenght!?

Hello Guys,

Just got a quick question for which i havent found anything on this forum (i'm new here!)

So simply, I'd like to define the number of bars I want my loops to be.

Say 4 bar for example. After it reaches that 4 bar, i'd like the loop to automatically enter Overdub or play mode (without me pressing anything)

How could I do that? :)

howdy, i'm having a hell of a time getting any midi out from the plugin version of Mobius x32. i'd like to use this data to give LED feedback on my launchpad - i can handle all of that. however, i can't seem to get any midi to exit Mobius! any tips?
