I got lucky today !

mardi 27 janvier 2015

We live in the mountains of the Pacific North West and we get our share of snow, in fact, lots ! Every Oct. we pull our 1966 Ambassador, 2-1/2 hours N.W. about 5 miles south of the Canadian border. We go over (2) mountain passes to get there. The trailer is set up in a friend's barn. The wife and I are ardent bird hunters. We and our dogs hunt just about every weekend from Oct. thru mid Jan. With the pass conditions, we usually can't bring the trailer home until mid March.(Enter the pineapple express) we have had for the last week and we were able to bring the O'l gal (trailer not wife) home ! The trailer is then stored under my pole barn where we have all the amenities except running water. At least 2-3 nights a week we have "date nights" in the Airstream. We keep some good wine, cheese and other munchies (that won't freeze) in the Airstream. We get her warm (trailer not wife) and watch TV or movies or just "stratigerize" about life. We put a quilt on the floor and sometimes let the dogs in to warm up as they are battle weary from (4) months of hard hunting. Our babies put lots of quality meat in our freezer. Since acquiring the old Airstream, life has definitely been enhanced ! So this year I got lucky with the weather and we are looking forward to our date nights. You never know, maybe other "lucky" things will happen in the Airstream, lol !

Safe travel to all,

Dan
