I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
For sale- FULLY GUTTED, PARTIALLY RESTORED 1974 31 foot Airstream International Sovereign
We did the hard part. Gutted it all the way down to (and fully inspected) the frame which is perfect. A brand new subfloor has been installed along with a new skylight and a Fantastic Fan. Also purchased brand new wheels and tires which are on it.
FYI- This Airstream was formerly a rear bedroom. Typically when looking for one to restore enthusiasts try to avoid the rear bath models.
The intent was to have my cousin fully custom restore it for me (see his work at his FB page--- Breuder Design.) However, found a deal I couldn't pass up on a brand new Flying Cloud but as a result I don't have the money to continue with this project despite all the time and money invested in it.
It's on Craigslist. I lowered the asking price to $5900. Have literally thousands more into it not to mention countless hours of labor gutting it, installing the floors, fans, skylight, etc....
NOTE- The Airstream is in Chicago just north of downtown at my cousin's shop. I am in Florida but can have my cousin show it to you.
