Outside the Box Solar Battery Options

I just saw this article about potential uses for used Hybrid and Electric car batteries and re purposing them for home solar power storage. Since this is already a nice self contained unit, it might be a good option for off the grid airstreamers. I could also think of it being possible to hook to the car while the batteries are still in it. If you have a motorhome pulling an electric car the car could store power for the motorhome while parked and the motorhome could charge the car while rolling.
