We finally picked up our 2014 20' Flying Cloud! This unit has the floor plan with the "L" shaped galley and bathroom at the back. Hubby has been going through the whole thing and all the manuals with a fine tooth comb, and discovered something very odd.
There is a window over the kitchen sink, at the very back of the unit. This window has latches at the bottom, and a screen, but no hardware to allow you to push the window open. So, trying to figure out how to open it, he walked outside and sort of pried the window open. The whole thing (the glass) fell out into his hands - luckily! This window has no hinges at the top, and is only held in by a sort of lip at the top and the latches.
So, what exactly is this? Did the factory just fail to complete the window installation? We can't believe it's supposed to be this way. And, why make a window with latches and a screen, but then make no way to open it without it falling out??
The other question, is it safe to tow this way? I'd hate to get somewhere only to find out that the window was gone.
I'm obviously going to call the factory on Monday, but in the meantime, do any of you know what is going on??
