The Four Corners Unit announces a new rally with a twist — a Southern New Mexico “progressive” rally 20-23 September, 2014!
We will convene at City of Rocks State Park, North of Deming, NM, for two nights and then caravan south to Pancho Villa State Park in Columbus, NM, near the Mexico border for an additional two night stay. There will be an optional walk-over-the border lunch at The Pink Store, in Las Palomas, Chihauhua, MX, and their famous Margaritas (while you shop)!
City of Rocks features an unexpected and fascinating volcanic geological formation with easy hiking, spectacular sunsets and dark skies for star gazing at the park observatory.Pancho Villa State Park includes an exhibit hall and historic structures capturing the history of the 1916 Pancho Villa Raid on Fort Furlong.
