Can't walk :( need slipped disk advise pls

Hello, please let me tell you my story from the beginning. My physo thinks this all stems from a fall on a slippery slip way while pulling up a boat, I fell hard on my coccoxs, was very sore for a few mins then fine and forgot all about it. A couple of months later my lower back was a bit sore and when I lay down flat on my back my muscles wouldn't relax to let my legs go straight. A couple of months this cleared up, I was doing a few back stretches to help.
After 3 or so months (2 months ago) my leg stiffen up and couldnt raise it all the way, through out the 2 months everything's got gradually worse, the Physo thought the gluteus maximus had weaken and was putting more demand on the piriformis muscle which would explain the painful ciatica pain running down the whole leg when walking. And the buttucks pain. Three different docs have said ' it's just bad ciatica' I've been doing stretches and taking strong ibuprofen and neurontin without any result. On Friday, the pain slowly got a lot worse, there was a strong burning in the butt, numb and tingling all the way down the leg to the foot, more so in the bottom half, cramping in the calf. Normally when I lay down the pains less but this wasn't stopping. Went to A+ E and doctor thought it was prob a herniated disc, prob L5, referred me to orthopedics, said I should get a MRI scan but to expect this to take weeks, gave me some painkillers and sent me on my way. That evening sitting at dinner the pain in the leg and butt got so bad i would have collapse if friends had not supported me, had this crazy ringing in my ears from the pain. Two days have passed and I now can not stand up for more than 30 secs before having to lay down from the pain, else my leg will buckle (Luckly laying down is now ok for the pain) it's still tingly and can't weight bear. Today I notised a slight tender bulge just below the butt cheek that really throbs when I stand.
Just really need advise, I'm planning on seeing my GP tomorrow, but I'm rubbish at pushing for things, and I'm really concerned that all this is gonna cause permanent damage and ruin my life - I'm a outdoor instructor . Hope you can help
