I had a severe bout of c. diff in early June and was hospitalized. I have had recurrent uti's for over a year which led to the c. diff because of all the antibiotics I had to take. I have another uti currently and my doctor is concerned about treating me. I too, am terrified to take antibiotics. She is going to send me to a urologist for treatment and I hope someone can figure out why I have these uti's and stop them.
My question is - has anyone had a recurrence of c. diff after taking antibiotics? If so, was it severe? I do not want to ever go through what I did the first time.
