Can't see Ableton midi signal anymore

Hi I’m pretty new to the forum but I’ve read some useful things on here and I hoped someone could help me with some of my midi footswitch issues.



I’m trying to set up a Behringer FCB1010 midi footswitch to work eventually with the Mobius looper plugin. The FCB1010 is difficult to program in itself but I downloaded the Windows FCB editor and had it working within Ableton and almost working with Mobius too. However, I changed some cc messages to notes in the FCB editor and somehow everything has gone wrong.



I’ve tried factory reset and started from scratch but to no avail. I’m following instructions about transmitting sysex from the editor to the pedal and it seems to respond correctly but still won’t register a midi signal in Ableton or even midi ox. I must be doing something in the wrong order or something.?



Could someone walk me through the steps for the FCB1010 and anything I might need to do in Ableton itself?



My soundcard is an M Audio Fast Track Pro and I’m using Ableton 8 again because the plugin Mobius doesn’t like a 64bit platform.
