Leaking waterfilter - how to detatch water in/out?

Hi - waterfilter is leaking (broken glass in filterholder)-needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, there is no indication as to what type of filter this is and prev. owner installed unmarked filter. This is not the problem. My problem is to disconnect the water in/out of filter housing. Waterlines are new type, crimped onto connectors and there is no way to unscrew the 90 deg bend used. So - how do I proceed and unhook the crimped waterlines? Cannot upload pics - as service is unavailable, sri.
