Title: 1967 Airstream Tradewind 24 - Ontario
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
This 1967 Airstream Tradewind has all original cabinetry, flooring and fixtures. The 24 foot Tradewind has a large bathroom wih a bathtub, shower and lots of storage. The mid-bedroom has a pullout bed that can stay out or convert to a couch. The large double closet provides as much storage as an average home closet, plus there is overhead lockers on both sides as well as large drawers under the bed. The original woodwork shines up well and would not need refinishing.
The kitchen has the original yellow Magic Chef stove and oven. The original fridge is missing and was replaced with a small dated electric only bar fridge. The front couch with storage underneath also converts to another double bed. A folding table slides out to provide dining space for two or four adults quite comfortably.
Outside the Airstream has a dent free skin that I just stripped of clear coat and paint in preparation for polishing. This trailer would polish very well and I could provide this service for an additional cost. There are two Canadian emblems that appear to be original to the trailer to distinguish this Tradewind model as a Centennial Edition.
History: this Airstream has been parked in one location on as a guest house for twenty years. The previous owner has removed the freshwater storage tank and water pump as they were not needed. All the signal and marker lights as well as the electric brake lines are disconnected. The trailer was not properly winterized last year and the original copper water lines are split in at least one place. The toilet is not connected to the plumbing and cannot be used at present.
Airstream trailers have an enclosed "belly" that is meant to be insulated. On this trailer the belly panel ha been removed. The previous owner was planning on reinsulating the trailer. The good news there is that you can look underneath to see a solid floor and have access to the wiring.
The photos in the listing have accessories that are not included in the sale of this trailer. The mattresses and pillows are not included.
Bottom Line: This is a great opportunity to buy an iconic Airstream trailer in the desirable 24 foot length that has original woodwork, a large bathroom and a very straight and dent free body.
