Title: Add New - Airstream Trailer Classifieds - Airstream Trailers For Sale

I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

1970 Streamline Duke 26' tandem axle

I am fixing up this Duke nice. He's got great aluminum wheels (which I just polished) with brand new 0 miles 10 ply tires purchased 3/11/2014. He also has a brand new a/c, and brand new central heat, brand new commode. Things that I am working on are: putting in new roof vents (2), putting in new hardwood floor (maple). I found 1 leak coming from a seal on the hot water heater so I removed seal, heater and damaged sub floor around said h20 heater and I am now in the process of replacing the sub floor and seal for h20 heater, after which I can commence with the new hardwood floor. This trailer has interior aluminum cabinetry and skins with wood facing, doors, drawers and slides(very rare aluminum cabinetry made for a lighter trailer).

This trailer's floor plan has a rear bath, two side beds, central kitchen. I am configuring the front dining area with a new fold out solid wood table. I have the original couches that fold down into a large front bed but I will not put them back in this trailer unless you specify that is what you want.

The only thing missing from this trailer is the fridge and I may not be getting around to that for the price I have listed, so you may want to customize what fridge you want as this trailer can accommodate a rather large fridge.

I have taken apart, cleaned, lubricated all windows and screens and they are all intact and in good condition. Emergency window above highway side needs louver opener replacement(I am not sure I can do this but I may try) the emergency opener works great.

I am working on this trailer constantly and I like overkill so if I see something that does not work, or I can make better, I keep on making it better unless time and skill have convinced me that I can not do it then I seek the advice of other professionals. I do have a lot of time and skill.

On the same side of the coin, this trailer does need a few things that you can go hunting for. I thought I would not fix everything as you may find it fun to hunt for a couple of things to make this trailer yours or to have it as close to original as possible. These few things would include a replacement logo (front and back Streamline) and they are on the www for about $40 each. (After you have them painted and installed they will be a bit more.) This trailer is also missing the original tail lights so this could be a small personal project for you to find them and bring yourself some adventure along the way. The tail lights on this trailer now work but are replacements. Anyway, there are just a few things you may want to or may not want to do to get this trailer 90-100% original.

I will not attach or provide photos of the inside until I am finished with the floor but if you want all the before and after photos once I am done then I will include them with the sale of this Duke and I will honestly answer any questions you have as I am a honest man and I do not know how to get away with lying or misleading. I have other trailers I am working on and I do not want a bad reputation.

This trailer pulls great but since I do not know the condition or when the last time the wheel bearings were replaced I will repack them myself or have another professional do that before you take to the road. Same goes for the brakes as I will not let you go down the road unsafely. I could have gone cheap and put on 8 ply tires but the fact that I put on 10 ply should prove to you I am not going to make a buck on your personal safety. I WANT YOU TO BE SAFE.

I am configuring a way to make a great rock guard/ sun visor for the front window of this trailer (as it is now missing one) and I do have a few things on my list that I want to make right before you roll down the road with this Duke.

This trailer has 30 or more pine sap drops on the highway side roof that I did not want to take off because I am not an expert with this in particular and I did not want to harm the integrity of the aluminum with some harsh chemical. I thought about trying to remove them next winter when the temp is below freezing and maybe they would pop off easily, but I do not plan to have this trailer next winter. This trailer has a hole in the front right (curb side) curve and seems to have been patched by someone that took pride in what they were doing. It was fixed with a good quality caulk and does not leak. The hole probably came from a tree branch and is about 4" long by 1" wide. There is also a small hole (or tear) , about the same size, in the lower front highway side that I am in the process of fixing. This trailer has a dent in the front left (highway side) curve and again was probably caused by a tree branch but this is not a hole and is only cosmetic, it is about 4" long by 2" wide. There is a crease in the aluminum on the highway side above the wheel well. The last owner hired a welder to attach a new front jack on the side. I p
