Title: 1975 Airstream Argosy 26 - Tennessee
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
I am the third owner, and reputedly this M/H has only been out of state when purchased new in Kentucky. This is a mostly original 454 powered unit with only 36,967 original miles. When I purchased it, it was with 7 new tires,new brakes,new exhaust,and the dash AC overhauled. Everything worked except the univolt controller. I have replaced the awning cover (Carefree),installed a state of art voltage controller, a microwave,new ceiling lights, had a custom spare carrier/tow hitch fabbed, and replaced the original carpet with a new sub floor and parquet tile.
I have used it only twice, finding I did not have time to use or complete. I run engine monthly weather permitting when not gone. Runs great, as does roof AC. Generator will not start now. I have been told probably needs points or a coil. Unlicensed since 2010
Other oh-ohs: passenger wiper arm broken when ice slid off roof, "wallpaper" coming loose in places, heater/ac fan cuts off..maybe wasp nests?, brakes probably should be bled. Tires while still 'new' are showing age..probably ok for move.
