Battery Box Lid Catches Front Lower Rub Rail

Is there anyway to adjust the battery box that is mounted on the A frame or lid so the lid doesn't catch the lower rub rail. When opening my battery box lid I have to bend the lid a little to get it to clear the rub rail molding. I noticed the lid is riveted to the hinge. Is the battery box adjustable? This is for my 2008 Classic 25fb.
