Battery Disconnect not turning on...

I apologize in advance if I have posted about this before, but the battery disconnect on my 2014 Airstream Interstate will not turn on...which means I can't turn the generator on...and I'm not near shore power. (The vehicle is idle in my driveway.) The dealership told me to leave the vehicle is in the sun, which it is, and the solar panels should give the battery enough juice to flick back on so I can run the generator...but that is not working. Is there a quick step-by-step fix someone can offer for a dummy (me)?
