This year's summer trip took us to Manerba del Garda to Camping “San Biagio”. Its unique location right on the tip of the peninsula "Belvedere Point", surrounded on all sides by water, makes this campsite an exciting holiday experience. The offshore island of San Biagio - popularly known as "Rabbit Island" – can be reached by a shuttle boat or even by foot if the water level is low.
Lake Garda, the largest of the northern Italian lakes offers countless opportunities for leisure activities. Whether hiking, skating, mountain biking, boating or exploring one of the many historic places in the area, there is something for everyone. One of the highlights is a visit to Verona which is famous to be the location of Shakespeare's tragedy Romeo Juliet.
One of the best ways to discover the lake is the rent a boat at the nearby rental station. Boats up to 40 horsepower can be operated without a special license and with this you can reach the opposite shore in the southern part in less than 60 minutes.
