We were originally going to go with Trident's excellent idea of using a monitor (excellent because we have one sitting unused), but Mike figured since we aren't TV/movie in bed folks, we would simply remove the TV.
Knowing a future owner might want to put one in, we left the wires intact (safely closed off!).
We built a new ? not sure what you would call it, that would cover the holes from the TV wires etc., and that could incorporate the 110v plug and the light.
We replaced the mirror with a new, longer mirror (much more useful) and left the little shelf in place.
Much easier to get around the bed now, the valance isn't partly covered up, and it looks much lighter in there.
