I just bought a 2004 31' Classic. The 15" Goodyears are 2 years beyond date so am upgrading to 16" wheels & tires, selected based on much research on these forums.

I am away from the trailer for a while...today the tire guy called and is concerned about wheel well clearance with the new wheels/tires. He measures 1 1/8" clearance with the old 15" setup and is concerned that the 1/4" clearance with the 16s (his estimate) will cause rubbing on the lower wheel well trim. Any thoughts?
Did I order the wrong tires?
Is this just an issue with the 2004?
If I remove the wheel well trim (screwed on) will I gain the needed clearance?
Many folks report no clearance problems, so what gives?
