Pullout Lounge Advice/Inspiration for New Owner 1968 26' Overlander

Hi,

My wife and I just bought a 1968 26' Overlander in pretty good condition / mostly original. Our intention is use it mostly for out of town guests since we are due with our first child and our families live on the east coast. However, the "pullout travel lounge" was removed and then recreated in some form, but hardly functional (too deep for sitting in comfortably, partially blocks front window, etc.)

So I am looking for plans, photos, alternatives that will:

1. Create a space that can sleep (2) people comfortably.
2. Allow for (4) people to eat at a table w/folding chairs if necessary.

Ideally we would like a banquette style with a table that drops to become the middle portion of the bed.

Open to all ideas, original and otherwise.
