Problem with cluttered UI

Someone help a newbie out! So far I've had a lot of fun mindlessly playing around with Mobius, and (thankfully) my biggest problem so far has to do with the appearance of Mobius itself. A lot of the components that comprise the Mobius window are overlapping with one another, and the only solution I've found is to simply turn off the conflicting items in the options menu. I find it hard to believe the software is set up this way, so I wanted to double check and see if anyone has had similar problems and knows the solution? This occurs when the window is minimized AND maximized. It makes no difference.
