Title: 2010 Airstream Flying Cloud 19 - Florida
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
Our 2010 19' Flying Cloud Bambi has been coddled and cared for the year we've owner her. There have been many upgrades intended on improving safety, efficiency and comfort. We got the bug and now have decided to move up to a Class A Motor Coach and 'full time'. The Airstream is top shelf although a few items didn't meet our expectations. Our upgrades, combined with Airstream's legendary quality, fine tuned the ubiquitous Bambi into a work of trailering perfection.
We converted interior and exterior incandescent lighting to LED providing soft/bright illumination while reducing power consumption and generating unwanted cabin heat. The batteries were upgraded to twin PC2250 Odyssey mat non-spill batteries with a combined RC (Reserve Capacity) rated at 480 mins at 25 amps. Three 2-speed DC Hella fans were added to the dining and sleeping areas to provide additional ventilation reducing the need for AC.
The stock window blinds were upgraded to OceanAir marine blackout blinds increasing privacy and reducing solar heating.
Dinette cushions were upgraded to denser, more comfortable closed cell foam for increased comfort and upholstered with supple, saddle tan bonded leather material for great looks and easy clean-up.
Mattress upgraded to a thick, top quality latex cell foam which sleeps cooler and provides greater support than the woefully inadequate stock mattress.
Three-stage in-house water filtration system provides 'bottled water' quality drinking water.
Plastic toilet upgraded to Thetford porcelain for easy care and comfort.
OEM 15" wheels were upgraded to 16" cast Aluminum wearing best-in-class Michelin RIB commercial tires; the strongest and safest tire on the market.
Wheel bearings and brakes recently greased and inspected respectively.
Airstream approved Fiamma bike rack installed on rear securely and safely transports two mountain bikes.
Fantastic Fans ceiling ventilation rain sensors close automatically when wet. Installed rain vent covers keep out rain while allowing full-time cabin ventilation during rain when it's needed most.
Body is sound, straight, and has not been in any collisions. There is very light wear on the outer skin. There are a few dings from stones in the stainless steel rock guards in front plus a couple that made it over the shields. The front windows are protected with tinted shields which have created two slight intentions on the skin from being opened too far. There is also two small recessions on the rear from a bike handle grip pressing onto the body.
My lovely bride (of 26 yrs) and I set this Bambi up to be the perfect home-away-from-home with all the comfort and efficiency we could imagine with the intention of keeping her for years. Now that we want to live-in full time, it's time to move up!
