Just bought AS Overlander

My question is that the vin number states that it is a 1969. I called AS and talked with Jim and he ask me if it had two hinges or one on the entry door. I told him that it had two hinges on the door. Here is ware the problem is the last three number in the vin say it is a 1969 but the door hinge says it is a 1979 ???

Could any one clarify this for me.
