I know that those of the Forum who own the non-painted style of Airstreams adamantly eschew any type of cover for their trailer, but some of us have the Argosy - a painted trailer. As one of these, I'm not worried about marring my polished mirror finish, AND I want to protect my trailer during the rainy winter months. I don't have the option of putting my Argosy under a hard cover (wish I did), so I need to find a better option. The last 2 winters I put a tarp over my Argosy, but it doesn't look too pleasing and it really doesn't provide more than about 50% protection from the elements.
So I'm looking at a cover. Adco and Calmark seem to be the most recommended using a search engine, but I'm wondering what real world experience offers?
Do any of you other Argosy owners use one of these "cloth" covers during the winter? Do you have a preference of cloth (Sunbrella, Tyvec, Vinyl)?
Are there problems? Do the covers breath or do they build up moisture?
Thoughts?
