Title: 1963 Airstream Globetrotter 19 - Ohio
We just listed our 1963 Airstream Globetrotter for Sale on Airstream Classifieds.
Year: 1963 Make: Airstream Model: Globetrotter Length: 19'
Selling a vintage 1963 Airstream Globetrotter 19ft. This trailer was originally purchased from another seller on Airstream Classifieds to be used commercially as a showroom. I received a few quotes for the turnaround time required to have it polished and renovated, but it appears that timeline puts us a few months out. At this point, we'd rather just pay for an Airstream that is already renovated rather than miss out on summer business.
We're interested in either selling it, or trading it with cash for a similar size trailer that's already renovated with a nice exterior finish.
Tow lights work, electricity works, and most of the original fixtures are intact. It includes new, road-worthy tires with greased bearings. The underbelly is in really good shape and the exterior aluminum is could use a polish but otherwise pristine with the exception of a small dent at the front (pictured).
The fridge is shot. The water heater is intact as are the original bathroom features. I couldn't feel any floor rot or wetness in the rear after a rain shower, but I haven't taken out any bathroom fixtures or pulled back the interior skin. All of the windows are glass with the exception of one plexi-glass side window. The interior could use some new carpet and an upholstery refresh. The counter has some delamination on top and at the base. The floors are solid throughout with the exception of a small soft spot in the battery compartment and a small soft spot under the side couch.
We also ordered a new complete axle assembly with backing plates and suspension bracket from Inland RV that was matched to the VIN number. If you want it, it'll be delivered to Columbus sometime next week or the week after and you're welcome to have it as part of the listed sale price. If not, the trailer is ready to tow and the trip from PA to Akron was uneventful with the exception of a few thumbs up from some passing motorists.
