Not many of these DWR’s were made and this special edition travel trailer is in excellent condition! It was purchased in 2010 (we are the second owners) and it has been only lightly used. Honestly, this airstream has been primarily stored in warehouses since we’ve owned it, so someone who wants to get out on the open road should really take her home! Most everything is original, but the battery system was upgraded in the summer of 2011 to a dual battery configuration (from a single), which is sufficient to last the weekend on basic functions (lights, water pump, fan, etc).
The DWR Airstream Bambi is only 16’-7†long, but the efficiency of the design is simple, functional, and elegant. It is definitely a head turner no matter where you go! This camper has everything you need for comfort, and it’s packed efficiently into a tiny shell. The exterior aluminum is in great condition except for typical road wear and also has a pull out awning for shade on those sunny days. The interior is in great condition and incorporates the DWR design techniques which include modern furnishings and unique design features such as halogen lighting, Sony soundsystem and TV, stylish storage, a wire coatrack, and a Nelson Ball clock.
