Replacing plastic folding shower door

My '76 Overlander has a '70s era folding shower door that only comes to the front of the sink, leaving a 1' gap that wets everything on the left side of the sink and the floor. I'm thinking maybe one of the curved shower rods and a curtain instead, mounting it a little lower so it will go clear to the medicine cabinet and keep more splashes inside.

Any body done this? I now regret telling people they were the "Latest and Greatest" back when I put them in houses in the 70's.
