OK, something just came up that has actually been bugging me for some time. When owners post that they have a 2013 on a 2012 chassis or a 2014 on a 2013 chassis.
I don't get it, who started this convoluted way of thinkIng? The Owners, the Dealers, Airstream?
Let's use my 2011 GMC Sierra truck as an example. I ordered and took possession of it in 2010. Does that mean it is on a 2010 chassis..duh, it doesn't take Einstein to figure this one out. Who cares? It is a frigging 2011 truck.
Now obviously if there is a different and complete new platform introduced like the 2014 / 2014 1/2 then it matters. Otherwise ???
Automobile and truck manufacturers nor the general buying public ever say...I have a 2011 on a 2010 chassis. Who started this anyway?
