Multiple loops single tracks

Hi guys, I tried to look for a topic like this but I didn't find anything...
I'm trying to use multiple loops in a single track and this is what happens:
I record a loop (not in the master track)
I record loop number 2
I come back and play loop number 1 and Mobius plays it just once, then the loop is deleted
Same with loop number 2

I cannot play a loop more than once if I have multiple loops on a track
Anyone with a suggestion?

First newbie question: I need two channels to have different time signatures, I read the starting guide but I couldn't understand how to do this, basically channel one should play 5 beats (subcycles if I understood correctly) and channel two to play 7 but when I try to do it, channel 2 plays like 10 beats, I mean that it plays the 7 beats that I recorded and then 3 of silence but I need it to reach 7 and go back. I've been reading all the documents and threads of circular labs and searching other websites and youtube but I still have no clue of how to do this in ableton live (or even knowing if it's possible).

Mute whilst in overdub - bug?

Hi folks

Just recently reminded myself of a seemingly inconsistent behaviour, & wondered if anyone else had encountered it; is it a bug? Or am I being perverse?

I frequently use one or two tracks on mobius as single repeat delays. Secondary feedback is enabled, but set to zero (primary feedback is at 127), so when in overdub mode, the audio will be repeated once, then disappear. The result is a kind of canon.

If I mute the track for a while, then perhaps half-a-dozen cycles later unmute it, I get a wall of half-a-dozen full volume overdubs for one cycle until it returns to the one repeat canon thing; it's been overdubbing at level 127 whilst in mute mode.

I suspect it is something in the way secondary feedback & mute are interacting (I haven't experimented with the same procedure on 'normal' feedback with secondary disabled, because I've used the setup this way for years now). It's no biggie - I can do a script workaround - but it's such a strange change of behaviour (I assume mute simply mutes the output of the track), I don't see why it would cause the feedback level to suddenly jump to max, then back again. It just might qualify as a bug. Then again, maybe it's the regular feedback that's doing it, and meant to be.

syncing with reason

Hi,

What would be the easiest way to put a click track into a loop, something I can set to a specific tempo, then transfer out to other applications?

I've been experimenting but I am having trouble understanding the syncing documentation. I end up with dead sounds in my loops and such.

Specifically, I am using Propellerhead's Reason to create beats and I would like to put a beat into one of the tracks (set to a tempo), and loop various things within the various tracks over it and then transfer it to pro tools for further editing, where I would assume if would fit with my tempo there.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I've been toying with Mobius for a while, but recently I got Lemur and I'm going deep into both to make a controller for my tablet tailored to my workflow, including extensive midi feedback... the final objective being not having to check the actual mobius gui at all. After quite a few hours and some scripting on both ends it's coming along surprisingly nicely.

My question would be: I'm trying to collect some info for each loop in a track, specifically if they are empty or not, and if not getting their length, but after some time with the documentation and the search funcion in this forum I haven't found a way... surely there's an obvious way to cycle through all loops in a track, but at this point it eludes me... any ideas?

I'm returning to Möbius after a bit of a break. It's sad how much I've forgotten after 5 years!

I need to be able to mix quantised and unquantised functions easily. For instance, I'd like to have the option to use quantised sus replace/substitute, unquantised insert, unrounded multiply, etc., all within the same preset. Will the available functions allow me to do this, or will I need to use scripts?

Newbie/Mobius/Ableton/the struggle

Hello. Mobius seems like it could be really anything you would need in a looper. But with all that flexibility comes a steep learning curve. I'm new to Ableton and Mobius. In Ableton I can loop almost like I want just in clip view but it lacks certain functions like undo, reverse etc. All I need is 4 tracks to loop on with some stacking ability..maybe eventually series if I can set it up. But I cant even get a basic looper set up in Mobius much less to get it working in Ableton...the one midi binding i made(one button to start recording and another push to stop recording on loop one) is gone when I go into the VST. There are so many options I don't know where to start. I've been reading the manual(not the whole thing yet..its huge) Just wondering if there is a basic explanation in detail of how to set up mobius just to be like a basic mulitrack looper like the boomerang? Mobius really seems great but i'm my wits end.Thanks in advance for any help.

REVISED: Basic Boomerang operation in parallel.
All four tracks sync to a master loop.(in my case it will be Ableton)
Everything is quantized in equal divisions.
Press loop one and play your instrument/ press loop one again to stop recording and the loop starts playing. then you can add layers to that by selecting "stack" with a different button and pressing the active loop button. Pressing the button again stops the loop..

When you press record on you second loop track(no matter when) it starts recording at the beginning of the bar of the first loop.

All loops act the same but can be of different lengths but they all quantize.

Holding Down a loop button while its not playing erases the loop.

there is a stop all and start all button to stop and start all loops together independent of the master clock start and stop.

the master start and stop from ableton would override this ^^^^

Global Mute Script

Is there any way of making a global mute now script? What I mean by this is you press to mute all tracks and it does it instantly rather than waiting for the whole loop to go round and the same for unmute, is there any way of doing this?

Script for a song not working

I'm working on making a script for a live song I'm planning on performing, where certain tracks need to be recorded, overdubbed, muted, etc.
I made a script that works fine to switch tracks and record, but I'm having trouble making the script start recording and mute a track at the same time. Whenever try to do this, it mutes the track, waits a loop, and then starts recording the new track.
Here's the script I'm having trouble with:

I made a script that works fine to switch tracks and record, but I'm having trouble making the script start recording and mute a track at the same time. Whenever try to do this, it mutes the track, waits a loop, and then starts recording the new track.

My goal would be to use Mobius inside of Ableton and have it synced up with clips and effects within Ableton. I'm looking at the soft step as a controller but would be open to other ideas.

What I would like to do Is set Mobius up to behave like the boomerang 3 in all of its modes. From there I would like to expand its features beyond that but based on the general boomerang workflow which I feel is perfect for me. So I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a way to configure Mobius to work like the boomerang? Thanks for any help anyone might have.
