Wood veneer repair?

As much as I take care of it, I am dismayed to see some of the Ash veneer in my trailer is cracking. I have oiled it regularly and in general it looks good but the small cracks and resulting chips that come off are so brittle...I know more are in my future



Has anyone redone the veneer? Or have you found an effective product to keep it in better condition?

Hoping there is something out there for the wood..
