I replace a piece of damaged aluminum trim that runs along the exterior base of the trailer.
I ordered some gray sikaflex 221 on Amazon and had everything ready to go. I installed the trim attached the vinyl insert bumper and was preparing to seal.
But the sealant was white instead of gray. I went to HomeDepot and they don't carry sikaflex but they do have a dynaflex sealant. It is not silicone, it is an aluminum gray latex adhesive, sealant used for doors, rain gutters etc.
Does anyone think that this sealant would work fine for the purpose of sealing the trim. Or should I just wait and try ordering the sikaflex 221 Gray again from a different vendor?
My problem is time and weather. We have a good weather spell of several days in the 60's, probably not going to be that way If I have to wait on another order of Sikaflex.
