Hi folks, brand new intro post... Found a 63 Overlander locally for sale. I feel the asking price is a bit absurd for the apparent condition. I've been reading quite a bit about what it will likely require and have been trying to talk myself out of undertaking the project. But, it keeps calling to me. I had a couple questions for the experienced out there about this thing:
How serious is the dent in the front end cap, would this be a huge issue?
And, what is that ghetto looking rooftop AC, seller claims it is "original".

It is missing bathroom sink/vanity, and fridge. And it looks like the front couch was removed in favor of a poorly executed dinette/bed. It is claimed as "under restoration" and "some subfloor repair needed". Realistically it is actually just as-found to somewhat molested it seems, and I would expect a shell-off subfloor.
Current asking price is $4500, which seems about $1500 high, but I'm new to the game so I'd be curious to get some input.
I wanted to get some suggestions before I actually go look at it with cash in hand in about a week or two assuming it is still around.
