Title: 1972 Airstream Sovereign 31 - British Columbia
I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.
Hey folks we are selling our Sure-Lay. Found in 2011 in London Ontario, this Landyatch was stripped, cleaned, brushed, upgraded, refreshed and reassembled as she was in 72. SureLay left QC in 2011 and was used full time in Comox,BC for two years. We stored the 5800 lbs trailer in 2013 in Comox and moved to the Yukon. After a few trips to Comox we decided to move back in Surelay last November and brought her in the Victoria area where she is been used full time. SureLay is NOT a Project, she s a livable Vintage Trailer used as a park trailer. She s our life pod in BC. All the upholstery has been upgraded, the plumbing has been upgraded with PEX and the sewer system has been doubled in capacity and upgraded. New insulation in the front lounge and rear bathroom have been installed with a vapour barrier. The rear bathroom has been redone as it was in 72 and repainted. New flooring on neutralized existing plywood, electric fireplace in the front lounge and cedar lined closets are some of the many upgrades that have been done in Sure-Lay. The twin beds configuration has been modified to accommodate a dinette for two on one side ( on original bed structured ) and a 54" dble bed on the other side. There is a Wilson cell antenna/booster installed beside the old antenna. Oh, and there is no leak ! Sure-Lay is a well sealed 43 yr old aluminum can. Sure-Lay is a turn key Airstream ready to hit the road for her next adventure. We dream of bringing the Old Lady with us in the Yukon but the Great North is pretty tough on trailers, it might be time for us to let her go... Pictures of the "semi-restoration" are available to potential buyers and will be provided to the next owner, her third ! Sure-Lay can be viewed in all her " awesomeness " on appointment only.
