Need 24" Bar Stool Suggestion Comments

We have a 2003 '34 Lounge S/O and need to replace the stools at the counter. The original stools have a high back and wide footed base. They are solid but don't fit up close and get in the way. Need a more practical solution. Have seen the adjustable pedestal and the folding and was wondering is anyone has tried these? Do the pedestal sit firm on carpet and can the colors be changed on the folding backs/seats? Also, just a suggestion of a good reliable source. Also need a clean solution to latching the sliding wardrobe doors while on the road. I have lots of ideas but am wondering who has found a "good" solution. The plastic 10lb catches just won"t stay glued. Regards,
