A few weeks back I had the disastrous issue of a new trailer came up on the used classifieds... I already have two, but this ones older and I love the butt end of the older trailers. I showed the ad to my hubby with the oh so sad look of oh my god I want it, but I have no money and him being as awesome as he is he said well why don't we drive up to see it...it was up on the upper half of Vancouver Island, We live in Victoria on the southern tip of the island, all day trip here we come :)
Well we loved it, came back to Victoria did some financial shuffling and made the trip back up the next weekend to pay for her and bring her home. We drove up the night before and spent the night in her so we would have time to do a run though of the systems in daylight hours. It was amazing I was just beeming the entire time, still am, she's beautiful...Like a little house, cute little bathtub and all. I could live in her, which is damn good cause as ya know I spent all my remaining money on her, and I am still at a point in my life where I have those darn mortgage payments. I'd better start earning faster. As some one said in a different thread "hey signlady with three airstreams why do you even need a house" Anyone got some free land around Victoria for a family of 5?
Anyway my guy is a bona fide mechanic so after looking her over he made the call to not hook up the brake system and therefore the lights as he said you need to be concerned that the brakes could lock up on you so we had brought a light bar from home and hooked it on the bumper. Since the tires on this girl were about 30 years old we had pulled a couple of the new tires off the argosy and put em on. We hooked her on up and drove her slowly home, she pulled great but a new axle and running gear will be in the works for her as soon as we can as this poor girl is 50 years old and she deserves them.
Here are some pics. I paid 6 grand for her. It may be high but they just never come up for sale around here.
