Awning Arms for 65 GT

I think I know the answer due to the obsessive research. But I must ask. The 65 Globetrotter has awning rails. No Arms. I really don't want ropes and weights and all that nonsense. What is the rope less solution for me to plan for next year? Can I retrofit arms? Would I not want to do that?
