I am doing some modifications to my 1961 Tradewind. Since it did not have a converter, and the batteries are really no longer available, decided to install a converter. I am using the original entry for shore power and running it through a chase I am installing just in front of the black water tank. I am extending the "throne" platform about 2 1/2 inches to cover the chase. I am installing the converter in the bottom of the rear closet. That way I have an easy run for new 110v circuits to accommodate a microwave and the A/C unit and some additional 12v circuits. I am considering putting a new battery in the rear storage compartment in a battery box. Any problems with putting the battery in that rear compartment basically next to the tub and under the bathroom sink to be accessed through the outer hatch in the rear behind the spare?
