I searched the forum and found a lot of threads concerning window tint film, but only a few passing posts relative to Low E films....so I'd like to limit this discussion to experiences with Low E films, please. I'd like to limit UV and heat emission only. Here are my questions:
I would like low e film in a clear colorless (non-tinted) film. The only one I can find is from 3M and they only sell to professional installers. Anyone know of a source?
I believe ALL the glass in the AS is tempered. My reading online indicates that tempered is actually more resistant to breakage, due to heat buildup, than non tempered glass and is a non-issue. Comments?
All the mfrs. I have found indicated installation on the inside of the glass. I know in one post Protagonist recommended installing on the outside of the glass?? Pros/cons?
Does anyone have practical experience specific to LOW E film only on their AS and it's performance/durability, etc.?
