This is a very sound Airstream and in my opinion in great shape if one wanted to bring back to original shape. It was used occasionally on weekends for the first 8 years then sat in the same place for 30 years. I bought it 6-7 years ago and has been inside and under cover since that time. I thought I would have time to do a complete restore but I have come to the realization this will not happen due to other priorities.
The positives:
1. This Airstream is in original condition with one exception. It has carpeting installed which was professionally installed and is very usable if one is wanted carpeting.
2. It is completely waterproof. I have replaced the plastic vents. All other vents are in very good condition. No leaks whatsoever.
3. Interior is in excellent condition except for the bathroom which has faded and darkened with age.
4. All walnut panels are in great condition.
5. Kitchen countertop is is very good condition.
6. All cabinets are in working order and in great condition.
7. All electric works perfectly, including the central console in front. I've updated the trailering connection to modern connections.
8. All water based systems work with one exception. There is a leak inside the wall of shower. Portable water and city water works perfectly. Gray and Black water works fine.
9. Original furnace, air conditioner, stove and oven work.
10. Has brand new tires. Had the brakes cleaned and bearings repacked at the same time. Perfectly trailerable with no issues. My 2010 F150 pulls this trailer great.
11. All exterior and interior lights and lenses are in great or new condition. All Lights work perfectly. Missing one cover inside.
12. Fans in the bathroom and main area work fine.
13. Have the original owners manual.
14. I have the original hub caps but did not have them on in the pictures. They are in great shape.
The negatives:
1. Has 2 dents and some road bumps in the front. The dents are in the rear upper panels, one in the center panel and one in the left upper panel. They can be repaired and do not require replacement. I would buy road bumpers for the front which would completely cover any bumps this trailer has.
2. Tongue and rear bumper steel have been repainted a while back and have some rust and need to be repainted. No big deal here
3. Bathroom plastic is faded and has darkened over time. It needs to be professionally painted to restore to new.
4. There is a leak in the copper pipe behind the shower wall and needs to be fixed. Will require taking taking a panel off and replacing it with rivets.
5. The stove has some rust and needs to be re-chromed to bring back to showroom condition. Works fine but does not look very good.
