This Airstream 17 footer has a good original body with hardly any corrosion or dents but needs a complete interior restoration. This is one of the most sought after Airstreams because of its useful size, layout, and easy towing. It also has the highly desirable curved windows. The Caravel campers retain their value very well. Use it for years, continue to maintain it and sell for a good profit. This Airstream would make a great family restoration project.

Exterior –The aluminum skin is in good condition for its age. The aluminum skin has no major corrosion or dents and is an excellent body for polishing if desired. This camper would polish to a mirror finish with minimal effort using the JESTCO polishing kit included. Some damage needs to be repaired at left side wheel well. New entry step has been installed.
Towing – Camper has new tires, and bearings have been greased. Running lights, Brake light and turn signals are all new and in working order. Electric brakes work. I would trust camper to be towed anywhere.
Interior –Original light fixtures, Original cabinets, sofa/pull out bed(removed), original stove and propane heater. The subfloor has some soft spots and is in need of replacement or repair. As shown in the presentation slide pictures, some of the interior has been removed but can easily be reinstalled if desired. If you are purchasing to do a complete interior restoration I can scrap the pieces. Your choice.
Water –Original fresh water tank is available and lines are still in camper. Original water heater is still in camper but has not been tested. Much larger hot tank than the newer replacements.
Wheels and tires –vintage aluminum slotted wheels with new tires. Bearing have been greased and are in good condition.
Overseas buyers – Camper can be shipped overseas via the PORT OF CHARLESTON. (I can help arrange transportation to the port if needed with one of the local transportation companies.).
Misc – I would trust this camper to be towed anywhere and I have described the camper to the best of my limited knowledge on campers but as always, because the camper is 47 years old I highly recommend that you have a look at it before purchasing.
Purchase information: $1000 cash deposit required at time of sale and CASH balance upon pickup. I will accept wire transfers, cashier’s check or money orders but camper cannot be picked up or delivered until completely cleared (usually 6- 10 days or so)
