Title: 1959 Airstream Globetrotter 18 - Virginia
We just listed our 1959 Airstream Globetrotter for Sale on Airstream Classifieds.
Year: 1959 Make: Airstream Model: Globetrotter Length: 18'
Due to the response of our listing on 7/7/14, we are adding some additional information to our ad. We are attaching more pictures and sending you a little more information about the Airstream. We have owned this trailer for many years and have enjoyed it immensely. As you will see in the interior pictures, the walls have the original Zolatone finish. All the paneling is original as is the cabinetry, doors, sink, stove, countertops, etc. As shown in the pictures, it still has the original lifetime warranty mounted on the inside of one of the cabinet doors. The frig has been updated and it also includes a small countertop microwave. As you can see in the photographs, the trailer is in great condition, considering that it is 55 years old. It has the normal wear, minor scratches and dings one would normally expect from a trailer it's age. We wouldn't be taking it on this cross country trip if it wasn't in good shape. We've been 5,000 miles on this trip so far and it has done great.
This is a very cozy and compact trailer, easy to tow and easy to maneuver. The trailer itself is approximately15 feet long, plus an additional 3 feet for the hitch for a total of 18 feel long. It has all the charm of the 1950's and was the predecessor to the Bambi which came out in the early 1960's. It is a rare trailer since the smaller Airstreams are hard to find, especially in this condition.
If anyone is seriously considering purchasing this trailer, we will make every effort to accommodate as possible.
