Documentation???

If I plan on a shell off, full Monty, new modern interior (similar lay out, true to the serial number), do I need to keep track of wiring plumbing cabinetry etc etc. I have bulkheads for patterns and have been taking pics along the way, but was thinking, I may not need it if I am doing the full RenoMod.
