Dual Diagnosis

I have a dual diagnosis of narcolepsy and ADD. And yes, my productivity is terrible and I am currently living way below my potential which makes me want to cry (and I am tired of being broke).

I eat very well and have found that supplements do help, but like a good little ADD'er, it is a struggle to even get them organized to take (there are a lot of them!).

Since my ADD is Ring of Fire (per Dr. Amen's test), and it is borne out by the fact that I practically go OCD when on Adderall, I am researching other medication options. I really liked Adderall and initially it was great, but then I just became incredibly focused and prone to rabbit holes, and they were never constructive, just information I didn't really need to know or things I really didn't need to do. Concerta doesn't seem to help, and the narcolepsy medications do not help the ADD. (Adderall was the one that presumably took care of both.)

I was reading that there are some other medications being used for ADD like Effexor, Pristique, or Cymbalta. I don't suffer from anxiety so do not wish a medication that would treat that.

Any thoughts on those or other options? Thanks...

Midi Control in Ableton

So far I've been able to successfully use my Logidy midi-foot-controller in stand-alone mode for Mobious. It also controls Ableton no problem. I have to use jBride to use Mobious as a plugin, if that matters. Once I launch Mobius VST it will receive midi commands but only if it is on a MIDI channel in Ableton. However I need it to be on an audio channel. Is there a way to get Mobious to just listen to any midi command. Right now it seems like Ableton is re-directing the command so that Mobious won't get it.

no midi status export?

Hi all !
I would greatly appreciate if somebody can throw a light over here.

some months ago I setup two bcr2000 to control mobius and I managed to get the midi status export function working properly so we were getting the visual parameter feedback just fine. Couple of weeks later it stopped working but because my laptop was showing some other issues as well I just blamed it on windows and thought it would get fixed whenever I got to format the drive and do the clean install of win7 w/o bloatware, etc. as I tend to do every time things get weird.
But now after going through that process I still can't get the midi status export function to work at all.
Tried everything: Only one bcr, through different usb ports, usb modes, through 5 midi pin connection that's on the audio interface (scarlett 18i8) and I also tried doing the same with another cc from a synth with mobius but still no parameter feedback.
Our setup is pretty complex but haven't still setup everything yet, and I haven't run into windows conflicts during the installation processes.
Mobius is running standalone and I can't find any setting that I could have forgot because I've been opening the midi ports on mobius as they should be..

Long story short, I'm in the dark now, hopefully somebody can point me in the right direction here, or the left one for all I care!!

Midi clock -Tempo, Solution and sugestion

When using Bidule, I found an inconsistency, or perhaps my lack of my understanding.

In Bidule you have the option to sync to Mobius, so using [Sync To MIDI Clock_0] you should be able to send/route the tempo to what ever midi device you like. With the white cable.

Or

Using [Sync Extractor_0] you should be able to extract the tempo for futher manipulation.

Or

By using the sync to option in whatever plugin you like, you sync directly to Mobius.

Why is this so important to me? Because this way you follow the natural flow of Bidule and use it as expected. Also I need to send both CC messages to and from my synth connected to the only midiports on my system and also be able to send clock tempo for effect sync. I like do devide or muliply the tempo to create effects and thats one reason I use Mobius with Bidule, strong flexability. It is like you build your own loopstation.


Workaround

Now I use LoopBe1, set midi plugin output in Mobius-settings to LoopBe1s outport, fetch the signal with [MIDI Clock to Sync] from LoopBe1 midi in port and from there I can use Mobius in Bidule as intended.

Settings lost no reason

I am using and setting up a looping solution with Bidule and Mobius.
Before I used vst host Cantabile. I am getting a feeling that the settings save algoritms have some unstability...

Today, after a 5-7 weeks, suddenly all my precious settings are lost. Without doing any adjustments... This off course is hell on earth to setup again...

I install Mobius in my separate vst folder on a dedicated SDD disk. This is on a laptop with batteries, no sudden power outs or windows crash.

My Windows 7 is freshly installed, dedicated for only this looping purpose. Not a messy old installation. Running 64 bit windows Bidule 32bit, only 32bit vst plugins.

Any advice, like: Fresh install Mobius, setup as needed, take a backup of the folder. Update the backup as needed..?

-200ms problem

Hi guys,
I'm new on Mobius and I have a little problem with synchronization.
I'm using Mobius 2.5 standalone, without any DAW or sync source.
Connected via MIDI, I'm using a midi pedalboard as footswitches.

I'm stuck with this problem:
I want to use Mobius as a loop station for live performances, so I would prefer not to use any external sync. I just want Mobius to record a track and start looping it at the end of the recording, so that I can add things after.
But if I have no external sync source, the recording starts with a "punch in" of 0.2 seconds (that in normal loop stations is not present), which is disturbing, because in that way all the tracks that I record after that cannot be synchronized with it.
Is there a way to "eliminate" that "punch in"?
