Sylvan Lake State Park, CO., Fall 2014

samedi 1 novembre 2014

We had a wonderful trip last month with our Airstream at Sylvan Lake. The colors were beautiful and the weather warm.

This was our second trip to Sylvan Lake S.P., and it was just as great as our first adventure. Our timing was perfect for the changing aspens. As soon as we arrived we headed over toward Yeoman Campground and fished along East Brush Creek. The water was cold, but we were able to bare the cold temps as we hiked up the creek and caught a bunch of Brook Trout.

Enjoy the new post and all of the beautiful pictures! And, don't forget to like us on Facebook and share with your friends :flowers:

Shutting down heater/furnace

Just got my '86 sovereign and it is in my driveway, for now, with power from a landline. We are keeping the AS here for a few weeks then taking it to JC for a complete checkup. Some minor problems to address.

My question is how do I shut down the heater/furnace?

The thermostat does not have an off position and when I went in to the AS this morning while watching the flurries come down the furnace was on.

I don't want the furnace on while we have it sitting in the driveway using up the LPG. I want to keep the power on but don't know the right steps to shut it down.

Suggestions?

Protecting upholstery from doggies

Does anyone know of a slipcover that would fit the sofa seating in a 25FB Flying Cloud? We just purchased the new trailer, complete with the leather upholstery. We have three rescue mutts who love to look out the window. We're worried about punctures and scratches. Currently we have them covered with blankets, but woul like something a bit more "tailored".

1976-1978 Argosy around 25'

Title:

I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

Looking for an argosy to restore around 1976 to 1978.Around 25'.If you have one to sell it would go to a good home. We have owned an airstream for around nine years and would like to restore an Argosy. We are serious and not looking for any scams. I'm sure knew tires would have to be put on before toeing. That's why I would like to stay under 4000

Wanted Vintage Airstream 25-28'+ With Rear Bed

Title: Add New - Airstream Trailer Classifieds - Airstream Trailers For Sale

I just posted a new ad on Airstream Classifieds.

I am looking for a 1960's or 70's Vintage Airstream with a rear bed layout. It needs to be mostly ready to travel. My interest is to re-decorate it and can do paint, floors, fixtures, etc if needed. I do NOT want a shiny trailer but really like the matte silver finish.

I am located in Georgia, and willing to travel anywhere to get the right trailer. Thank you

LP Gas Furnace

OK, went through the posts that could relate to my problem: gas furnace on my 1994 Excella is not lighting, fan turns on when you turn the thermostat on, but no click, no ignite, no warm air. Plenty of gas to all other uses in the trailer. Worked fine when we pulled in and set up, in fact it wouldn't cut off when the temp was reached, just kept running. This was a first. Cut the thermostat off. Later when restarting it wouldn't. To me this says circuit board, maybe thermostat, maybe both.

My real question is where the heck do you get said issue fixed when you are in southeast Utah/northeast Colorado? Especially on a weekend. Running the small built in catalytic and a small electric heater right now, so OK, but need to get this fixed.

Bambi16 on driveway issue

Today got a hoa board member knock the door. Saying some neighbor complain I parked my 16' Airstream on my driveway for nearly 1 month.

As I know, the city has no rule to prevent residents park RV on their own driveway. City only doesn't allow RV for street parking more than 72 hours.

My house has 3 car garage driveway, and the driveway's around 35' deep, way big for a cute Bambi. The coming guy even can't give a reason why the Bambi do harmful to the neighborhood. He just kept saying it should go into storage somewhere.

I think it's ridicules, I actually am using the trailer in this season every week. And I plan to drive it out in the winter as well, and frequently. I really can't understand why hoa so want to make people's life harder instead of happier.

I really don't want to move the cute one away. Anyone met this hassle before? Any suggestions to deal with the unpleasant neighbor?

Thanks!
