Turn Signal Wire lost continuity

Re: 1965 Ambassador. My Right turn (brown) wire has lost continuity somewhere between the front and rear of the frame channel. (maybe chewed by a mouse) All other wires are intact. Is there a suggestion for routing a new wire inside of the frame channel from front to rear (or rear to front) , or do I have to jerry-rig something externally?



I thought that I could attach a new wire to the end of the old wire and (carefully) pull it through, but the old wire appears to be fastened inside somewhere and won't budge. Also, the body, floor, frame, and belly pan are in excellent condition and I don't really want to start cutting that stuff up.

Lost Power

I just purchased an 86 soverign and put in a 30 amp breaker at my place to hook it up to. On the first try I think I wired the breaker wrong and blew everything. The TV fried. I rewired the breaker and now the A/C and outlets work but not the refigerator or interior lights. Is there something I can do or did I fry them as well? At first the lights came on dim and the alarm for low battery sounded. Any thoughts greatly appreciated.

Shocking Discovery

Yesterday I was checking things under my AS prior to a trip and found that the nut was missing that holds the upper mount for one of my shocks. Don't know how long it has been missing. The shock was about one half of the way off of the mounting stud. Something else you should look at from time to time.

Fuse for breakaway switch??

Repacked bearing, and checked brakes and in the process determined the breakaway switch was not working. Tested fine for getting power, but when pin was pulled would not activate, was not getting power to the brakes. Ordered, checke the new switch, installed, but still not activating the brakes, although meter shows that when the pin is pulled the brakes should be getting power. Is there an inline fuse somewhere that preventing power from reaching the brakes?

New Wanna-Be

I'm a single woman, not mechanically or electrically inclined, in her 60's, thinking about buying my first Airstream. Was wondering what advice you have for me in terms of size and lay-out (bed in front or back?). I'd like to be able to park in National and State Parks so can't go too long. Thanks for your help!

ducted roof air on "67 Airstream??

After reading reviews and seeing the ducted A/C's on the 2015's, I got to thinking about doing that to my "HVY MTL" trailer.

I know they have a bulge on the roof but people are saying they are quieter than the ceiling mounted ones. I am doing a full gut and the interior panels are off, and have extra ribs and such for reinforcements so now would be a good time to do this. Any thoughts on how to go about this??
