Im new to Mobius. Im fairly impressed with its flexibility, but finding it a bit daunting for set up. While I have made progress with it, Im wondering if there is a source of set-ups that have been done for various looping scenarios. My most desired behavior right now would be to have all tracks associated with a loop stop playing when switching to a different loop and restart in sync again upon return. Im having trouble figuring out the best way to achieve this. Any help would be appreciated!

Previous Loop resets?

Recently upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.3, & not sure if this could be a reason.

Running Mobius 2.5 as plugin on bidule, I noticed that whilst 'nextLoop' works as expected, 'previousLoop' would restart the (previous)loop once & then reset it!

It was doing this also in standalone, both over MIDI & from the GUI buttons.
Now I've never noticed this behaviour before (I do tend to work mostly with parallel tracks rather than stacked loops) but I know I've used these functions with the same configuration in the past and they've worked as expected; I have projects on multitrack that prove it!

It's been so long since this setup was installed, I thought maybe a reinstall might sort it out, but so far it hasn't; in fact it even caused more problems with not delivering the vst/au components into the expected folders (or at all!).
In all other respects, Yosemite has been a pretty successful upgrade, so far, but I wonder if anyone else has run into similar problems?

Meanwhile I'll plod on with finding my backups & patching it all back together....:(

Newbie with this software 3 hours into trouble shooting this prob. Can't find Mobius 2 (or 1) in Maschine or Logic Pro X as a VST plugin for an audio track. Standalone works fine.

-on iMac/Mavericks
-Installed as instructed 2.5 mobius.dmg
-troubleshot by installing Mobius 2.0 earlier version (no help)
-troubleshot by installing 1.45 (no result)
-looked for solutions, troubleshot and took .vst and component files out of 1.45 folder, and copied them into audio vst/component folders in the library under audio (no result)
-rescanned plugins in logic and maschine (no result)

Any ideas before I throw in the towel?

G-Fade 100ms
G-Fade 200ms
G-Fade 300ms
G-Fade 400ms

I discovered that I can run “G-Fade 100ms” script more then once simultaneously, to speed up fade times, I can start a fade slowly then increase the rate exponentially.

This also reduces the number of scripts I have.

Playback seems too low/quiet

May be a silly question, but why is the playback of recorded material so much lower than what I'm putting in?All my outputs are at the 127 limit.In order to work smoothly I have to lower my playing (be it on drum machine, bass, guitar,...) to not dominate the backing tracks.Is there a workaround within the software?Thanks.

Messed up UI in Reaper

I've tried Mobius and really like it. Standalone version is great but in Reaper the UI is messed up. Since Mobius is the only good looper it's a pity that I can't use it inside my DAW.

I'm running a 64 bit Reaper on OSX so the plugin opens with the bridging software.

What I can't understand is why there is such a lack of software like this. In fact nothing that is any good as a plugin unless you are using Ableton Live which does this kind of thing. This is the absurdity of audio software. Hardly anything decent that emulates a guitar stomp box where you can hook up a MIDI pedal and control in software the same way as you would with a pedal. There is Sooperlooper but that is hassle due to hooking up Jack and MIDI.

So, I recently picked up an Akai APC40 and in the process of mapping out all the controls to Mobius, and it's proving to be super fun and I'm wondering how I ever got by without one. However, there is a control I'd like to set up, but am not sure if it's possible.

The APC has an 'infinite encoder'; as the knob is turned clockwise, a MIDI CC is transmitted that consistently alternates between 1 and 2. As it's turned counter clockwise it alternates between 127 and 128.

What I'd like to be able to do is assign the speed shift control to the infinite encoder. As the knob is rotated clockwise, the speed increases until Mobius's 4 octave threshold is reached, and as it rotated counter clockwise, the speed is decreased until it hits Mobius's -4 octave threshold.

Any tips for setting this up?
