Hi Folks,
We have just puchased a 2012 Intl. 19 in new condition and are getting it set up for our spring trip. (We have previously owned a 16 Anniversary and a 22 Safari.) We are towing it with a 2015 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition. Bed has a RollBak cover on it.
Now, I have a degenerative neurological disease. This disease comes with a Handicap Placard. Problem is there are days where I just have a difficult time walking, thus I bought a new Segway X2-SE. Plan is to use it to continue my life long passion of Landscape photography. I prefer to be "entertained" by this disease rather than resticted.
Now, it would be very helpful to take the Segway with us BUT the truck hitch receiver is taken by the Airstream (we previously put our Segway lift/carrier (SegVator) in the hitch and would wander in the truck with the Segway on the tail.
From all I've read, putting a hitch on the back of the Airstream 19 is not a good idea - put's too much weight behind the trailer axel. Segway X2-SE weight is about 120 lbs.
Has anyone found a good way to take something like the Segway with us?
I'm sure some cleaver rascal has already addressed this issue and I'm anxious to learn!
